Privacy Policy

Effective June 25, 2026Last updated June 25, 2026
Your trust is the product. This policy explains, in plain terms, what Sena collects, how we use it, and the control you keep over your data — your connected X account, the posts that build your voice profile, and the payment details handled by Stripe.

01Who we are

Sena (“Sena”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the websites at heysena.ai and app.heysena.ai and the related content tools (the “Service”). The Service connects to your X (formerly Twitter) account, learns how you write from your own posts, and helps you draft, edit, and schedule content in your voice.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to your use of the Service. For data-protection questions you can reach us at privacy@heysena.ai.

02Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Account details — your name and email address when you create an account or start a trial.
  • Content you create — drafts, generated posts and replies you keep, edits, saved examples, and the content pillars and voice rules you configure.
  • Communications — messages you send to support and your responses to surveys or emails.

Information from your connected X account

When you connect X, you authorize us through X’s official sign-in (OAuth) to access certain data. We never receive or store your X password. Depending on the permissions you grant, this may include:

  • Your public profile (handle, display name, avatar, bio, follower and following counts).
  • Up to your last 200 original posts and their public engagement metrics, which we analyze to build your voice profile.
  • Posts from accounts you choose to monitor, so we can suggest replies.
  • The ability to publish or schedule posts on your behalf — used only for content you have approved.

You can disconnect your X account at any time from your settings, which revokes our ongoing access.

Payment information

Subscriptions and trials are billed through our payment processor, Stripe. Stripe collects and processes your card or payment-method details directly. We do not receive or store full card numbers; we retain only limited billing records such as your plan, subscription status, the last four digits and card brand, and billing history needed to manage your account and prevent fraud.

Information we collect automatically

  • Usage data — features used, actions taken, and how you interact with the Service.
  • Device and log data — IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and timestamps.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — used to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand usage (see “Cookies & tracking”).

03How we use your information

We use the information above to:

  • Provide the Service — build and update your voice profile, generate posts and replies in your voice, and let you edit, save, and schedule them.
  • Operate billing — start trials, process subscription payments through Stripe, prevent fraud, and manage cancellations and renewals.
  • Maintain and improve the Service — debug, secure, measure, and develop new features.
  • Communicate with you — service notices, security alerts, billing messages, and (where permitted) product updates you can opt out of.
  • Comply with law — meet legal, tax, and regulatory obligations and enforce our Terms.

Where required by law, our legal bases for processing are: performance of our contract with you (providing the Service), your consent (e.g. optional marketing and connecting your X account), our legitimate interests (securing and improving the Service), and compliance with legal obligations.

04AI and your content

Sena uses third-party artificial-intelligence providers to analyze your posts and generate content. Your posts and the rough ideas you enter are sent to these providers solely to build your voice profile and to produce drafts for you.

  • We do not sell your content, and we do not use one customer’s posts to write for another customer.
  • We instruct our AI providers to process your data only to deliver the Service, and not to train their general models on it, to the extent their terms allow.
  • Generated content is a draft. You are responsible for reviewing anything before it is published — see our Terms.

05How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers (“sub-processors”) who help us run the Service, and only as needed:

  • Stripe — payment processing, billing, and fraud prevention.
  • Supabase — authentication, database, and storage of your account and content.
  • AI providers — analyzing your posts and generating content in your voice.
  • X / the X API — to read your authorized data and publish content you approve.
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers — to serve the websites and run the application.
  • Analytics and email providers — to understand usage and send service communications.

We may also disclose information to comply with law or valid legal requests, to enforce our Terms, to protect the rights, safety, and security of Sena, our users, or others, and in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (you will be notified of any such change).

06Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain records (for example, billing and tax records, or to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements). You can request deletion at any time — see “Your rights”.

07Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live (including under the EU/UK GDPR and the California CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you and request a copy.
  • Correct inaccurate information or update your account and voice profile.
  • Delete your account and associated personal data.
  • Export your data in a portable format.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent at any time.
  • Opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.

We do not sell or “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law. To exercise any right, email privacy@heysena.ai. We will respond within the time required by applicable law and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

08International data transfers

We and our sub-processors may process your information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (or equivalent mechanisms) to protect your information.

09Security

We use technical and organizational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and OAuth-based connections that avoid handling your X password — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

10Cookies & tracking

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and secure, and limited analytics cookies to understand how the Service is used so we can improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Service from working.

11Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at privacy@heysena.ai and we will delete it.

12Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email or in the Service. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
